The post office hates me.
Jan. 13th, 2005 11:24 pmWell, my application packet has one night to get to UDel, and that is tonight. I sent it off last Saturday, all certified and return receipted, and the post office worker said it should be there by Tuesday at the latest. Apparently, he didn't mean this past Tuesday. There is a Bermuda Triangle of mail in the US, and it is centered over Delaware. I guess I should have just slapped down $20 or so dollars and told them to overnight it. I guess now I know for next year's application. Fie.
Work was as unexciting as ever. About the most exciting thing that happened was the printer running out of cyan ink, so it refused to print anything. Which is just confusing since I only wanted to print something using black ink, but it refused to work. So not all of my poor little labels got printed out. Oh darn. There were absolutely no visitors as well. It always puts me in a cheerful mood. I did talk to my grandmother on the phone, however, as it is her birthday today. It was during that conversation that I realized the reason my jury duty session starts on Tuesday instead of Monday is because of Martin Luther King, Jr. (MiLK) Day. I also talked to Mary Ann. I've come to realize, since I haven't seen her in about a month, that I probably would have cracked by now if she wasn't here. So, thank goodness for her, and especially because she is willing to listen to me blab on about my life.
I really, really think I just need to quit the show. I attempted to go to practice again tonight, but once again, there was another yoga session going on. So, it is true that I could have called and asked where the heck rehersal actually is, but I waited there for a full half hour and I just didn't feel like trying to find my way around town in the dark. So instead, I gave up and came home to read. But, quiting envolves a phone call, and I hate phones. We shall see, but I do know I haven't made one practice this week.
And for the fun of it, both
bianca_of_padua and
p4inspiration have been updated. Seeing it's been around a year (well, maybe not so long for Greg's) since I have. I don't know why I was so inspired, but it's probably because of
ladyshrew.
I hope the mail likes me tomorrow.
