I watched A Little Princess tonight, stepping back into my childhood. I never realized that Maureen Lipman played Miss. Minchin. Quite like when I found out a couple years ago that Colin Firth played adult Colin in The Secret Garden by Hallmark.
I forgot to mention this, but yesterday I was in the kids section at the library and this one boy was telling his mother that actually reading a book took too much work, he would much rather take out an audio book. Which he ended up doing. That at least will only take up 6 hours of his life listening to it. The shocking state of literature these days!
And, am v. excited. I bought the special edition of the Two Towers today, and there is a gallery of Eowyn costumes with close-ups and such. Makes the sewing bug in me want to whip out my sewing machine and make a new costume. If only I was that talented. Someday, maybe.
