My email, and everything in between (well at least the loan application stuff) seems to have died on my computer. For the past two days. I'm not sure what is wrong, cause other things seem to like me well enough. Or maybe not...

It leaves me grumpy and swearing like a sailor. I only hope dad doesn't hear my grumblings.

My good news of the day is that I now own an 1831 copy of John Galt's Life of Lord Byron complete in one volume, which is No. IX in Harper's Family Library. Even better is it has both covers on it! And the best part? I got it absolutely free. Mary must have sensed it wasn't worth anything so gave it to me. ::checks online:: But, apparently, it might be worth a little something, even if the shape isn't all that great.

One of the volunteers also brought in a book of Boston to show me, and it made me quite nervous. I don't know if I can handle big city living considering I'm from next step to a farm. At least they have parks, and water. He told me I should attempt to rent one of the sailboats and go sailing at least once. I don't know about that.

We went on a picnic yesterday, and I teamed up with Melanie to play croquet. We lost horribly the first match, but rallied to come in a close second place for the second one. Although, I swear the rules the man who won has is really all about cheating. No wonder he wins all the time.

Dad woke me up early yesterday to point out the alligator swimming in the pond/water trap outside our window. He was the first one I've seen since being here at this apartment, so maybe he was lost or attempting to find a mate. One can only hope.
