Time flies by so quickly
Dec. 13th, 2004 11:21 pmI managed to be either late to just about everything or just run out of time. Shockingly, I arrived twenty minutes late to the Book Depot. I jokingly remarked that I had been there the whole time and they believed me! Except for the woman on register who saw me walk in. ::sob:: I have been replaced. A new girl started today, and she did all of the jobs that I usually do, so I was stuck rambling aimlessly around the store cut off from stacking Hardcover Fiction. I finally ended up back at the history section andfrom there to the music section. Someone gave us a whole bunch of really old (from the early 20th century) sheet music. I found and bought the souvenir music album of Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet. Bad me buying things.
The extra snowbirds added with holiday shoppers makes shopping a very time consuming thing. And I don't like it at all. I did find Gargoyles on dvd for Christine, though. It only took several attempts. Finding that made me happy. Unfortunatly, it meant that it also made me almost late for my 4:30 meeting with Betty before the board meeting at 5:30. I had about ten minutes to run home, eat, change, grab my library books and run out the door.
I snuck out of the boring board meeting early! Well, I did have to go to the audition at 7, right? The dancing part of the audition is always my favorite. I guess it is what I'm most comfortable at. I suppose I should be. The director kept repeating that she was going to have such a tough time casting this show because we were all so talented and she could cast it three times over with who she has and if you are cast in chorus that is a good thing because the chorus is the heart of the show. I'll know if I'm in the show by the end of the week.
Oh let the next week and a half go by smoothly. At least that one grant thing is now mostly out of the way. I need to mail it tomorrow. That should be a fun time at the post office. Who knows what madness Betty has in store for me next.
