Musicals and books.

[livejournal.com profile] booey, I challenge you to a game of online battleship come this November!!!!

Ok, so quick question for a select few people on my list (that includes you, Elphaba and Indiana Mendez). I was discussing seeing Spelling Bee with one of my friends and she was intrigued by the idea of the "Adults Only" performance. So, my question is, if you can only see one showing of the show, do you think it would be better to see the regular show or aim to see one of the "Adults Only" performances?

It was very exciting this morning, because I saw an ad for the show, twice!

And, I went into fangirl mode this afternoon when I received a package from [livejournal.com profile] ladyshrew that included a signed copy of Pig Tale, which means that it was in VF's very hands. Now, if only I could get a signed copy of a JS book. ;)

Oh, and I find it hilarious that the other book that [livejournal.com profile] ladyshrew sent (I had requested a few a while back) was the third play in the Coast of Utopia series. Just my luck, my least favorite. I was giggling madly.

Ahh, six and a half hours in the same classroom is going to drive me mad!

i say go for the "adult only" version.
just because it may have stuff not censored...
not necessarily mean you're a perv... >_>

Well, [livejournal.com profile] booey saw the adult show first, and I don't think she regretted it. I think you'd have a hard time coming back to seeing the characters as kids if you saw the regular show afterward... I know that I kept having adult show lyrics in my head later.

So, I guess it depends if you have a dirty mind. ;)

Hmm, their Boston site is seriously lacking in info. Like, is there a rush policy. And, will it say on there if there is an "Adult Only" show? So confusing!

Apparently they are having a lotto. If you go to the official site, then go to "Boston," after various things zoom around on the screen, there should be some text that says something like, "Click here to learn about lottery." Why they make that so confusing, I don't know.

Sucks for you that there isn't rush... that's easier. With rush, at least you know if you have a seat or not pretty early on.

I'd watch Broadwayworld for info on the adult show. There's a Spelling Bee Love thread that always has frighteningly well-informed people on it.

Love the cast for me! :D

Found it! Well, it is probably worth a shot.

Will love the cast, of course! Just for you.

Well, if the adults-only is your one frame of reference, you may be confused by later discussions, but you're also going to be almost guaranteed a fun and racous crowd at the adults-show, too. It's up to you. ;-)

Luckily, it is going to be there for hopefully a long time. Or at least as long as I will be here, and if I can win at life, or just the lottery, that would be an option.

It would be nice to see both.

IT ARRIVED! YAY!

And I'm sorry I could only find the third play. :-( I shall look again when I return home!

Also, JS books are harder to come by, b/c they're ridiculously expensive. o_O Plus he doesn't sign. Eheu!
