1776

Ee!! They are doing a production of 1776 at the Lyric Stage (where I saw Urinetown last year) starting this weekend! How did I not know about this? And who is in the cast? I can't find a thing on it. Hmm, Nexis...

Singing and dancing TJ and Johnny. Mmmm. I'm so there!

Thanks so much!

Hehe, Neddie is played by the same person who did Officer Lockstock last year.

And Johnny was Hot Blades Harry!

Not really. From random searches online I have found:

J.T. Turner as Ben Franklin
Gordon Baird as Andrew McNair

And that's all I'm finding so far...

Haha, I just signed up to win free tickets on one of Boston's gay entertainment news websites. My mom would be so thrilled.

Yay!!! They realize how gay 1776 is!!! :-D

I HOPE YOU DO TOO!!!!

Ahhaha!!! I never get to use this icon!!! :-D

How long is it running? How much do tickets cost? eeeeeeee!!!!!

[identity profile] ladybranwen.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
It runs September 8 through October 14.

Tickets run from the $10 student rush, and regularly priced $25-50 depending on day/time you go. Wednesday matinees are the cheapest, but who can go at 2pm?

For student rush, you need a valid student ID, and tickets are available one-half hour prior to each performance if there are any tickets available.

You want to go see it too? Yay! 1776 fangirls.

Hopefully you won't be sitting behind another bizarre family who dangles their child over the balcony. Ah memories . . .

Thankfully, this theatre is not happily situtated with a balcony. Otherwise, I'm sure that that would be just my luck. Well, I'll have to see what misfortune brings me this showing of 1776 (if I can get a ticket!).

I should call to ask about your vacation, but I was busy the last couple weeks at home and never know what is a good time to call you because you are always doing things.

Don't worry about it, I've been out of the house for the past few days due to total lack of power in Mamaroneck/Larchmont. I'll give you a call over the weekend now that you are back in the land of freedom ;-)

[identity profile] ladybranwen.livejournal.com 2006-09-06 01:56 pm (UTC)(link)
You lost your power? Was that because of the tropical depression/lots of rain?

Yay! for freedomland!

Hey, just dropping a note to say I'm friending you. Our mutual interests are, um, almost everything(just check out my userinfo) but mostly england, paris, serenity, austen, the blue castle, and villette. And I too will be off to college in not-too-long. (I'm insanely jealous of you at the moment) Anyway, I just felt waves of fellow-feeling coming off your journal, soo:D

Wonderful! We seem to have a lot in common. I look forward to getting to know you more! Obviously, I have added you back.
