Nanny likes her eggnog strong!
Dec. 14th, 2003 10:08 pmI finally caught most of Eloise at Christmas on tv. Or at least the best part which I had previously missed. That could only be seeing Gavin Creel singing and dancing. So, now I'm a happy girl! It really takes so little to please me.
I called Christine tonight as it is her birthday. In one week I'll be in New York and seeing her! And then we moved on to joking about how we were going to tell Carol that I had to catch a 2:30 train to my brother's in NJ and then leave her. We would take the subway and there is no way that she would ever take that because it is "dirty". Whatever. But, it would make a clean getaway for us. (And I re-read that sentence and was like, ah, unnoticed pun!) How do we stand-up to a dominating ex-roommate? We run away!!!! But, anyways, I am so excited that I finally get a "vacation" even if I do have to make up the time I will be gone. Which reminds me, this week I have to work six days. I really need tomorrow to finish Christmas shopping and doing my laundry, etc. But, no, I must go to work.
And my car is being hopefully fixed tomorrow. And hopefully they won't try anything funny because I look so young and stupid about cars. Not that I'm not or anything, but really. So that is at 9 tomorrow morning, then straight to work after that. So looking forward to it.
But my brother is actually buying his own Christmas present from me. It's because he can get it cheaper online as he has a Sony card and I don't. So, I'll pay him back when I see him next week.
The little children sang at church this morning. They were cute. Although I think that Luke, Jr. might be ADD or something more than just his growth development problem. And his sister Elizabeth was on stage constantly tucking in her shirt. I don't think it was going anywhere, but...
And towards the end of church it started with the sudden downpour from the Nor'easter. Luckily, I didn't have to get my car as Matt went out and got it for me. He did change my radio station, though. Not that I listen to it anyways, I mostly sing songs of my choosing in the car. But, what bad driving conditions. I don't like driving in general, but when you make me drive on roads that are inches deep with rain and I can't see a thing, then I really am not happy about it. But, I survived.
I mostly worked on my cross-stich present for Christine today, as that needs to be done by Saturday. Eep. I don't know if I'm going to make it. Oh, and I went back for carol singing tonight. Because that is one of my favorite things about Christmas, the music!
Welcome to
minkdanagin and
amea. Two new friends in one day, shocking! I seem to have an increasing amount of literary and English majors around here. Must remember to write properly.
I'm going home in less than a week!!!! :)
